ABOUT OUR DIRECTOR

Pilly Hassani Jarufu is a dynamic and results-driven Economic Policy & Planning Specialist, with extensive experience in project management and organizational leadership. As the Director of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) at Capacity Building and Education Link (CBEL), she applies her expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and team leadership to design and implement impactful programs that promote sustainable development.

Her professional background includes roles as an Instructor, Quality Assurance Officer and Admission Officer at the Mwalimu Nyerere Memorial Academy. These experiences have equipped her with a unique combination of analytical precision and customer-focused innovation. Pilly excels at identifying opportunities, cultivating stakeholder relationships, and delivering results efficiently, earning recognition across multiple sectors.

Currently, Pilly is pursuing dual Master's degrees - one in Economics and Finance at the Institute of Accountancy Arusha (IAA) and another in Economics at the University of Dar es Salaam. She holds a BSc in Economic Policy and Planning from Mzumbe University and certifications in Project Management and Business Fundamentals. She is a dedicated advocate for youth development and professional growth, guided by her philosophy: “Service is not about what we want to give. It’s about what the other person wants to receive.”

Driven by a commitment to measurable impact, Pilly continues to advance evidence-based decision-making and capacity-building initiatives at CBEL and in her broader professional endeavors.
